Beginner Quilting Saturday pm

A 3 part class designed for adults interested in learning to quilt!

Saturdays: 9/7, 9/28, & 10/12

1:00-4:30pm

We will be using the Waverly quilt pattern by Running Doe Quilts to learn basic quilting techniques such as: how to use a rotary cutter, how to make half square triangles, squaring up a quilt block, quilt top assembly, & binding. Quilts will be quilted on the longarm by Catherine after the second class so that during the 3rd class we can bind our quilts and hopefully all leave with finished projects!

Students need a sewing machine and fabrics listed below

General Supplies 

• Sewing Machine
• Small scissors
• Pins
• Thread
• Rotary Cutter
• Ruler
• Cutting mat
• Pencil

Fabrics:

• 9 Fat Quarters
• 1 yd contrast
• 1/2 yd binding
• 1 1/2 yds wide backing or 3 yds standard yardage for Backing
• Batting 56" x 72"
